The Message of HE the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, on World Teachers’ Day
Government Palace, October 6th, 2020
October 5th is World Teacher’s Day, celebrated around the world. This special day is dedicated to honoring teachers for their dedication, commitment, and contribution to teaching and educating our society.
Teachers are true warriors, and unrecognized heroes, who daily spend all their energies to support and shape the students’ characters, so they can be educated and valued in our society, thus becoming individuals worthier to serve the country and its people. Teachers are also very important pillars in the world’s transformation.
Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity, on my behalf and on behalf of the 8th Constitutional Government, to congratulate all teachers throughout the country, for your special day. The Government will continue to make efforts to meet your specific needs, as well as our national education system, in order to increase the quality of our education.
Lastly, I’d like to thank all teachers very much for your dedication, patience, persistence, responsibility, and affection, shown through your teaching and example, in developing qualified human resources for our country’s development and well-being. Thank you
