Dili, August 19th, 2020, the Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, chaired, this Wednesday, a meeting with the Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals, Victor da Conceição Soares. At this occasion, the National Petroleum and Mineral Authority (ANPM)’s new leader, Florentino Soares Ferreira, the TIMOR GAP.IP’s new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Eng. António José Loiola de Sousa, and the Petroleum and Geology Institute’s new Presidente, Gabriel Aparício, who have just assumed their respective positions, were presented.
At this meeting where the new leaders of ANPM, Timor Gap and IPG respectively were presented, was also given an update to the Head of the Government on the progress of each institutions’ activities related to the oil activity.
After hearing the presentation, the Head of the Government conveyed his full confidence to the three new leaders, since they have a lot of experience, asking them to perform a good and careful management of these three institutions, so that they can bring economic benefits, namely revenues for the State, from petroleum activities and mineral resources.
The Executive Chief also asked them to keep the conquests already achieved by previous leaders, seeking to improve what is already good, and changing what is not.
Took part also in this meeting the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Fidelis Leite Magalhães, and the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Social Communication, Francisco Jeronimo. END
