Prime Minister Taur Matan Ruak welcomes Guests arriving Timor-Leste

Dili, August 29th 2019: HE Prime Minister of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, welcomed the guests from 38 nations, who already arrived in Timor-Leste to take part in the commemorations of Referendum (Popular Consultation) and INTERFET Mission 20th anniversary, whose main ceremony will be held in Tasi-Tolu, on August 30th 2019, in the afternoon.
“I would like to take this opportunity to welcome and extend my warm greetings to all our distinguished guests, whom have come from 38 nations: a few of them are Head of States, Head of Government, other representative and special envoy, and some of them are our friends, who have worked with us in the past. They were emotionally touched for being here. It is due to the past they have been through and the present changes they are witnessing. It makes them so thrilled. 20 years have already pass, when we look at the old pictures, we were still young and healthy, now our physical shapes have changed but the energy is still there”, said the Prime Minister
There are 402 guests from 38 Nations whom have already arrived in Timor-Leste. They include 6 VVIP guests, 24 VIP (Ministers) guests, 49 members of the Delegations who came with the VVIP and VIP, 17 non-resident Diplomatic Corps guests, 21 resident Diplomatic Corps and International Organization guests, 23 Defence Force from Australia and New Zealand guests, 12 Human Rights Activists and 3 Timor-Leste-Germany Friendship Association guests .
