Dili, August 31st 2019: H.E. the Timor-Leste Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak and spouse, Mrs Isabel da Costa Ferreira, offered a welcoming lunch banquet in honour of the invited Dignitaries from 38 countries, who were in Timor-Leste taking part in the commemorations of the Referendum (Popular Consultation) and INTERFET Mission 20th anniversary. This lunch banquet had taken place in Xanana Auditorium, Ministry of Finance, in Dili.
In his welcoming message, the Head of Government said that; “It is a great honour and satisfaction, for Timor-Leste, for the VIII Constitutional Government, for me and for my wife Isabel, to welcome you, dear friends, Ladies and Gentlemen, Heads of State and Heads of Government, to whom I greet with immense joy.”.
The Head of Government also added, “It is with great pleasure that we gather in this room, under the celebrations of the Popular Consultation (Referendum) and the INTERFET’s Mission twentieth Anniversary, in a historic year of great significance and importance for all Timorese”.

Among the invited Dignitaries whom have take part in this honour lunch banquet were the HE the President of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic, Mr. Eduardo Ferro Rodrigues, and his spouse, HE the Prime-Minister of Australia, Honourable Scott Morrison, HE the Prime Minister of Vanuatu, Mr. Charlot Salwai and his spouse, HE the Prime Minister of Guinea Bissau, Dr Aristides Gomes, HE the Especial Representative of the UN Secretary-General and former Head of the UNAMET, Mr. Ian Martin, HE the President of the Court of Appeal, HE former President of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, HE the members of the VIII Government and other delegations members.
