At the audience, the leader of the Chinese enterprise’s organization presented the new structure to the Head of Government. The new structure is currently led by Alex Lin, the current Director of COVED-CRFG, Lda, and also includes Wang Tieming, the Director of SDI, Zhang Mingchun, Director of China Nuclear 22, Wang Wei, Director of China Harbour and Li Xiaolong, Director of Shanghai Construction.

After the presentation of the new structure to the Chief of the Executive, the Director of ACETL, stressed that Chinese enterprises are committed and willing to contribute to the Timor-Leste development process.

From his part, the Head of the Government thanked the commitment of Chinese Enterprises that intend to expand to invest in Timor-Leste, because currently, the Timor-Leste’s economy is still very dependent on the public sector, while the private sector has still little expression, therefore, the Government leader hopes that, from now on, the private sector, both internal and external, may have the initiative to make an investment.

Currently, there are 7 Chinese enterprises investing in the country, particularly in the agriculture and infrastructure areas, with interventions to improve national roads, electricity, and the Tibar port. END
